Editing
I know that magazine editors have to edit. That goes with the territory when they take a story as All Rights. I know they have to juggle words so that they fit into the template and even have to change names when they're faced with 7 stories which all feature a girl called Susan. And sometimes the titles they choose are better than mine. I always have trouble finding a good title. But sometimes, they change so much that it's no longer my story, even to the extent of allowing a typo that makes nonsense of a crucial date. And the trouble is, readers will think it's what I wrote, unexpurgated. That Valerie Bowes, she's rubbish! Ah well, moan over. Back to the drawingboard.
