Wells Festival of Literature
A great day in Wells, re-visiting the cathedral. I'd remembered the little knights going round and round every quarter in the clock, but forgot that one gets his head cut off every time! Somehow, he's miraculously restored when he reappears, just in time for it to happen again. The gardens surrounding the Bishop's Palace are lovely even at this time of year, with the clear water from the wells making soothing noises as you walk around. And the cherry on the cake? I got second prize for my short story Finding Lives. So pleased!
